It is with a heavy heart that we have to bring you the news that Matthew Culwick has resigned his position of Chairman of AFC Rushden & Diamonds Youth C.I.C.
For those of you who don't already know Matt has been a part of this club since his son Jack began playing with South Rushden Junior in 2010, starting out coaching the under 7s he stayed on in that capacity even when Jack was signed by premier league West Brom (he's since moved on to premier league champions Leicester City) his involvement grew when he agreed to become part of the board along side Daryl Chambers who was one of the clubs founding fathers. As others left the club Matt picked up the reigns and took on the lead role, one he carried out with energy, diligence and commitment that considering he has no children playing for the club is something we have been very lucky to have had.
I would like to place on record a huge thank you to Matt for everything he has done for this club, the work he has put in, the meetings he has had to attend and the nonsense he has had to listen to in those meetings ;-) you have been invaluable to us throughout your time, we couldn't have done it without you and wouldn't be in the strong position if it wasn't for you.
Thank you Matthew and don't be a stranger, I fully expect that Max becomes a Little Diamond!
Thank you for everything from all at AFC Rushden & Diamonds Youth.
