Under 14 Whites wrap up the League with a game to spare

April 24, 2017

Dan Richards' Under 14's Squad wrapped up the league title on Sunday with a thunderous 6-1 victory over local rivals Higham Town.

Goals from Jake Andrews and Charlie Broughton nestled on top of the four netted by Devon Pickett gave the Whites their 15th win of the season, setting an unassailable total of 48 points with a game still to play.

Four of the squad have netted double digits for the team this year bagging 52 goals between them; Both Jake Andrews and Devon Pickett both having a goals to appearances ratio of 1.3 goals per game. We all know though that no matter how many goals you score (the best per game in the league) you have to know how to defend to ensure you don't get beat and they have certainly done that this season having conceded only 19, an average of one per game, outstanding.

Congratulations to all the boys, their coach and all the parents who I know have played a pivotal role in supporting the team through the season.

Come on you Whites!
